Rs 9.12 Crore Crop Insurance Disbursed to 5,401 Farmers

The Ballari district agriculture department informed that under the 2024-25 Karnataka Raitha Suraksha Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, a total crop insurance compensation of Rs 9.12 crore has been transferred to bank accounts of 5,401 farmers in the district.
Senior officials of the Agriculture Department have urged farmers to ensure they insure their crops under the scheme for the current agricultural season as well.
Compensation was settled by the insurance provider for farmers registered under the scheme during the 2024-25 Kharif (Monsoon) crop.
