Bus crew, beware! Sarathi vehicle is here to keep a watch on you

The North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) has introduced a Sarathi vehicle in Hubballi to keep a vigil on the crew of the bus along a 15 km bus route to ensure that proper service is being provided to the passengers.
The vehicle will also assist in emergency situations like accidents by shifting victims to the hospital.
Hubballi is the second city in the state after Bengaluru to have a Sarathi vehicle. According to sources, Dharwad city will also get a Sarathi vehicle soon.
The functioning of Sarathi vehicles is expected to ease traffic congestions which occur due to haphazard stopping of buses near designated bus stops, which block the road. Skipping bus stoppages and rash driving by bus drivers will also be curbed.
