THE Bennihalla River overflowed following relentless rainfall in Ron taluk, severing connections to several villages. The deluge and swelling waters of Bennihalla led to a sense of dread among locals. Mudenagudi, Hullur, Somanakatti, and Melmath villages experienced severed links for nearly ten hours on Sunday, and the sustained rainfall on Monday morning inundated numerous agricultural fields within Ron taluk.
