Bellad inspects construction of new hostels

DEPUTY Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Arvind Bellad inspected the construction of the Deendayal Upadhyaya Saamarasya (Harmony) Student Hostels on the Karnatak University (KUD) premises.
Later, speaking to the media, MLA Bellad said that the well-equipped hostels for male and female students are being built at a cost of Rs 96 crore, of which Rs 70 crore is from the Public Works Department (PWD) and Rs 26 crore is from the Karnataka Housing Board. The hostels will have a total of six blocks, with proper lighting, ventilation, a conducive environment for studying and will benefit around 1,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
