Teacher Among 2 Govt Staff Sacked for Anti-National Activities in J&K

DESPITE opposition from the elected government, Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha continues the crackdown against government employees allegedly involved in anti-national activities, and on Friday sacked two of them, including a teacher, by invoking Article 311 of the Constitution.
The employees are Khurshid Ahmad Rather, a teacher, and Siyad Ahmad Khan, an assistant stockman, both from Kupwara. They were dismissed with immediate effect following an order from the Lt. Governor.
