AN Assembly secretariat official said that 14 of the 15 suspended AIADMK MLAs had already been evicted once earlier in the current session for similar conduct and, therefore, the speaker ruled that they would be suspended for the rest of the budget session.

However, subsequently they were allowed to attend the rest of the session after Chief Minister M K Stalin intervened and requested the speaker to modify the ruling.
