PRIME Minister Narendra Modi addressed retiring members in their farewell at the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, saying, “In politics, there are no full stops; your experience and contribution will forever remain a part of the nation’s life.”
He noted that senior leaders provide ample opportunities to learn how to remain fully committed to responsibilities.
Expressing gratitude for the occasion, the PM remarked that it allows the House to rise above party lines. He added that whether members return or pursue wider social service, their experience continues to benefit the nation. “The journey never truly ends,” he said, highlighting that politics constantly offers new opportunities for seasoned leaders.
