Atul's wife, in-laws held, sent to judicial custody

A week after 34-year-old software engineer Atul Subhash ended his life by hanging at his residence in Bengaluru's Marathahalli locality, his estranged wife Nikita Singhania, mother-in-law Nisha Singhania, and brother-in-law Anurag Singhania have been arrested on charges of abetment of suicide.
The trio, during questioning, is said to have claimed innocence and have been remanded in judicial custody.
Nikita's uncle, Sushil Singhania, who has also been named as an accused by the Marathahalli police, is yet to be arrested.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Whitefield division) Shivakumar Gunare said that based on a tip-off and other technical clues, Nikita was arrested from a paying-guest accommodation in Gurugram, Haryana.
Her mother Nisha and brother Anurag were nabbed from a hotel in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.
All three arrests were made on Saturday morning, and the trio has been brought to Bengaluru.
