|June 24, 2025
AS tensions in the Middle East intensified after the US bombed three major nuclear sites in Iran, stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty plummeted on Monday.
Selling pressure is seen in IT, tech and auto stocks amid elevated global crude prices dented market sentiments. The BSE index fell more than 500 points at close to 81,896.79. The entry of the US into Israel-Iran conflict heightened tension as panic selling by investors triggered major correction in early trade.
