Parents agreed after rounds of counselling
A minor girl in Jharkhand, keen to pursue her studies and become a judge, called the Palamu district police chief for help as her parents were trying to marry her off.
SP Reeshma Ramesan sent a police team to her home to counsel the parents against the marriage plan after which they agreed and let their daughter continue her studies.
"Now, the police will take care that the girl completes her studies and achieve the goals of her life," said SP Ramesan.
