Thousands bid adieu as 'Captain' laid to rest in TN

VIJAYAKANT, legendary actor and founder-president of DMDK, was laid to rest at his party headquarters in Koyambedu with full state honours on Friday.

Police fired 72 bullets in the air in three rounds. Chief Minister M K Stalin, Telangana Governor Tamillisai Soundararajan, and TN ministers, including Udhayanidhi Stalin, took part. In a mark of respect, the CM touched the wreath he placed in front of the coffin twice"Friend, you will live in our hearts forever," Stalin said.
