PRESENTING his maiden Budget, and the first of the Congress government after the formation of Telangana, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka tried his best to implement the assurances given by his party during the Assembly elections.

Vikramarka, who also holds the Finance portfolio, struck a balance between the welfare and development, according equal importance to rural and urban areas. Required funds were allocated for implementing the 'Abhaya Hastham' the six guarantees given by the Congress in the run-up to the 2023 elections.
