SBI info to ECI won't say who gave what to whom

THE Supreme Court on Monday rejected the State Bank of India (SBI)'s request for extension of time till June 30 to furnish the details of electoral bonds and directed it to hand over the relevant information to the Election Commission of India (ECI) within 24 hours - before the end of business hours on Tuesday.
The ECI should publish the details on its website by 5 pm on March 15, the court ruled.
A Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud observed that the information sought from the bank is 'readily available' and, hence, there is no need for extra time.
