Naidu weighs in on language row, cites Narasimha Rao over learning Hindi

Amid the debate over 'imposition' of the Hindi language, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday cited the example of PV Narasimha Rao, asserting that the former Prime Minister and scholar of 17 languages, had also learnt Hindi.
"We have gathered here today to reflect on the life of one of the greatest sons of Bharat Mata - Bharat Ratna PV Narasimha Rao... While today we are all talking about 'Why we should learn Hindi?', the former PM Narasimha Rao was a scholar of 17 languages, he didn't just learn Hindi but other languages too and that's how he became a great person and statesman," said Naidu.
