The Minister of Consumer Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, on Wednesday criticised app-based cab aggregator Uber for its 'Advance Tip' feature, which has become increasingly common on the platform.
In a social media post, Joshi called the practice — where users are prompted to pay a tip in advance in exchange for faster service — "unethical and exploitative".
