Meta Apologises for Zuckerberg's Faulty Remarks

META India tendered an apology on Wednesday for company CEO Mark Zuckerberg's erroneous remarks about the outcome of the Indian general election 2024.
The apology followed public criticism of the remarks by Union I&B and IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Meta India's Vice President Shivnath Thukral wrote on X: "Dear Honourable Minister @Ashwini Vaishnaw, Mark's observation that many incumbent parties were not re-elected in 2024 elections holds true for several countries, BUT not India."
