Kejriwal says 'black day' for democracy

THE passage of the Government of National Capital Territory (Amendment) Bill by the Rajya Sabha drew strong condemnation from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
In an impassioned response, Kejriwal labeled the event a "black day" for democracy and likened it to the British-era "Government of India Act." The British had enacted a law that allowed elections but stripped the elected government of decision-making powers.
