DEFENCE minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said January 22, the day of the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram at Ayodhya temple, will be the proudest day for the country as the Hindu community has waited and struggled 500 years for this day.
"January 22 will be the proudest day for India. Hindu society had to struggle for 500 years for this moment. Thousands of people have sacrificed.
We are fortunate to witness this moment," Singh commented.
The remarks from the minister came during the release of a book authored by former Rajya Sabha MP Balbir PunjTryst with Ayodhya: Decolonization of India-at Delhi University.
