Half a crore people in Odisha hit by acute diarrhoea, typhoid: CAG

NEARLY half a crore people in Odisha were affected by acute diarrhoea and typhoid, while thousands more also suffered from hepatitis and renal diseases between the 2017 and 2022 fiscal due to the use of contaminated water.
A startling revelation in this regard was made by the CAG in its 'Performance Audit Report on Storm Water Drainage and Sewerage Management Systems in Municipal Corporations for the year ended 31 March 2022' on Saturday.
