Elephant at Rath Yatra Goes Berserk and Triggers Chaos Among Devotees

Panic gripped Ahmedabad's Rath Yatra near Khadia crossroads on Friday morning when a male elephant leading the ceremonial march suddenly ran amok, triggering chaos among devotees and disrupting the procession.
According to R K Sahu, an officer of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation's zoo department, the elephant was reportedly startled by loud DJ music and the police blowing whistles while managing the crowd. Overwhelmed by the noise, the male elephant bolted toward the Pol area, ramming through barricades despite attempts by a group of policemen to stop it.
