Doctors demand action after MLA assaults Prof at AP medical college

NOTWITHSTANDING the apology from Kakinada Rural MLA Pantham Nanaji for manhandling a medical professor in Rangaraya Medical College on Saturday, medical students and members of the Government Doctors Association threatened to intensify agitation if no action was forthcoming against the legislator and his followers.

They demanded the arrest of the attackers.
Condemning the issue, Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav also tweeted on Social media platform X on Saturday evening stating that the government will not spare the attacks on doctors in the state and the government will stand with the doctors and will take action against the attackers after through enquiry.
