BIHAR has created a national record in installation of Smart Prepaid Meters.

“This is unprecedented and showcases the kind of reforms we are undertaking in the power sector,” said CMD of Bihar State Power Holding Company Ltd (BSPHCL) Sanjeev Hans after a Bihar roundtable on energy organised in Patna on Monday.

“We have created a national record by installation of more than 26 lakh Smart Prepaid Meters,” said Hans. Speaking to this newspaper, Hans said Bihar has become power-sufficient, a far cry from being a power-starved state years ago.
