Annamalai says not in race for next TN BJP president

IN a move to end speculation about his position, Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai on Friday declared that he is not in the race to be the next BJP state president's post.
Speaking to reporters at the Coimbatore Airport on Friday, Annamalai said he would continue to work for the party as a cadre and there is no compromise against corruption.
On the reported view that the AIADMK leadership was for easing him out of office of state unit president to forge an alliance with the BJP for the 2026 Assembly election, Annamalai said he was not inclined to make any comment.
