Airlines announce special relief flights from West Asia to major Indian cities

IN a major relief for Indians who need to travel between West Asia and India, Air India Express on Monday announced resumption of operations from Tuesday to six major Indian cities.
The Civil Aviation Ministry announced that 10 special relief flights will be operated by IndiGo from Jeddah to India on Tuesday to facilitate the return of stranded passengers.
It said that 357 flights were cancelled to and from India to West Asia on Monday.
Meanwhile, Dubai International Airport announced partial resumption of operations on Monday with Emirates alone permitted to operate, while Indian airlines have been asked to specify their slots, said asource.
