KT Molefe's armed bodyguards arrested at Alexandra court

SAPS national spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said the pair, aged 24 and 36, were acting as bodyguards for an accused person who appeared in court yesterday.

While the SAPS has not identified the specific accused they were escorting, sources with direct knowledge of the matter said the men form part of Molefe's security detail.

Molefe was in court as the State seeks to consolidate several high-profile murder, conspiracy and firearms cases against him.
