This year, the KwaZulu-Natal-based business marks 20 years of success – growing from a one-truck startup into an award-winning logistics leader with a footprint across South Africa and beyond.
Founded in 2005 by Aven Naidu, Avemel’s story is as much about grit as it is about vision. Earlier this year, the company was named winner of the KZN Top Business Award in Transport and Logistics, a recognition Naidu describes as “humbling” and symbolic of how far the business has come.
“When you're starting out, you hope someone believes in your dream. To now be recognised for excellence, while celebrating 20 years, is incredibly special,” he reflects.
