SPRING is upon us. On Monday, September 1, it is Spring Day, and we welcome the colourful month. As we welcome this wonderful month, it is important that we act and behave in a responsible manner.

Let us remember that South Africa is a water-scarce country and ensure that we welcome spring in a responsible manner and do not waste water. Let us also teach our children that water is a scarce resource; therefore, it is crucial that they do not play with water, as water has no substitute. Let us ensure that we, together with our kids, do not waste water under the guise of welcoming spring.
