This Christmas, hundreds of mums and their children will wake up in a refuge after fleeing domestic abuse

Many arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Children often have to leave behind everything familiar — including cherished toys, like the teddy that’s been their best friend during the day and their comforter at night.
They've lost so much — their home, school, friends — which is especially heartbreaking at a time that’s meant to be filled with joy.
But for many, this will be their first Christmas of freedom
Mums and their children will experience the magic of Christmas, without constant fear of abuse.
