Why they’re all seeking out Hide

THE owner of a Newcastle restaurant which has made it into the Michelin Guide less than a year after opening says the place “puts it on the map”.

Tasting menu restaurant Hide opened on Chillingham Road in Heaton October 2024, across the street from sister restaurant Nest.

Hide is the only one of 16 restaurants added to the guide in July to be based in the North East, and owner Jack Brown is delighted. He said: “To get in the guide within nine months has been an incredible achievement. It's something we're incredibly proud of, we're over the moon”
