MANDAVA HAILS TEAMWORK

- By CLIVE YOULTON

SUNDERLAND left-back Reinildo Mandava has highlighted the side’s teamwork as the key to the club's early-season success in the Premier League.

The 31-year-old returned from suspension to play a key role in Sunderland’s outstanding comeback win at Stamford Bridge, having been recalled to the starting XI by Régis Le Bris.

His sending off against Aston Villa meant a three-game ban but Le Bris had no hesitation in slotting him straight back in the side in west London.

The win temporarily took Sunderland into second in the early Premier League table, while they ended the weekend in fourth.
