NORTH EAST PREMIER LEAGUE

- By STEVE CLARKE

HETTON Lyons lost early wickets, after being put in by hosts Shotley Bridge, but George Fishwick then made 43, Robert Talbot smashed 68 not out and Jarvis Clay 60, to get them up to 250-6, while Ross Burdon took 3-61.

Shotley then collapsed in reply to 32-6, as Oliver Watt (5-39) and Arron Watson (5-41) ripped up the top order and were all out for just 82 runs.

South Northumberland took first knock at home to struggling Sunderland and declared on 246-5.

Sam Ewart hit 41, Solomen Bell 36 and George Drissell 63, while Simon Birtwisle top scored with 68 not out.

In reply, the visitors lost early wickets.
