United cash boost for national team appearances

NEWCASTLE United have received nearly £1.5m from UEFA for releasing players for national team competitions.
The clubs benefit programme ensures sides are paid an equal share for each player released for UEFA Nations League and European qualifiers along with a fixed amount per player per day during the final tournament.
In the last cycle, between 2020 and 2024, these competitions included Euro 2024 and the 2023 and 2021 Nations Leagues as well as Euro qualifiers.
