Tyne ferry crossings suspended for four days

TYNE crossing ferry services are to be suspended for four days as both the vessels in use undergo essential maintenance.
-
Shields ferry The Pride of the Tyne is undergoing “vital” renewal work on its propulsion unit, while the Spirit of the Tyne will be in dry dock for its annual service.
Transport operator Nexus says that the works cannot be postponed and therefore ferry services will be suspended from today until Thursday.
