Trump not first to be ignorant over facts about autism
The Journal
|September 26, 2025
I'M not even remotely upset that Donald Trump thinks I caused my child's autism, by popping paracetamol products in pregnancy
Some folk have taken umbrage at this.
They believe I should be taking opportunities, like my column today, to counter disinformation and raise awareness of autism facts that are verified by actual medical professionals.
Or, at the very least, be willing to voice my outrage in the odd chat.
Maybe even reply to the many texts and DMs I've been sent on the subject from friends, family and the occasional angry stranger.
But I haven't. And I won't. Because he's a great big orange eejit.
And I cannot fathom why anyone would waste their time taking anything he has ever said, seriously.
A man who has, on more than one occasion, stated that the moon is indeed part of Mars.
Maybe this is unfair of me to bring up, considering he hasn't pretended to be an astronaut this week.
Instead, I shall stick him playing doctors: Let us remember that this was the same bloke who decided we should maybe try injecting bleach during the Covid years.
