Town's new up-market chic hotel in running for award

A CHIC hotel bringing an extra touch of five-star indulgence to a North East market town is in the running for an international award just a few months after its launch.

The Bailiffgate Hotel in Alnwick, Northumberland General manager Bernard Bloodworth
The Bailiffgate Hotel in Northumberland opened at the end of May, transforming a former Georgian schoolhouse in Alnwick into a stunning 48-room luxury haven, with the aim of attracting new tourism to the town.
And the hotel, bringing new life into the old Duchess High School overlooking Alnwick Castle, has certainly made an entrance.
