GOOD to read that Chancellor Rachel Reeves is at least willing to publicly recognise that leaving the European Union has proven worse for the UK economy and productivity than the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) had predicted.
Good, but not great. I welcomed signs Labour might be more forthright about Brexit’s harm.
But GREAT would have been if Ms Reeves had told us what the Government is going to do about it.
The Labour leadership has received positive coverage in recent weeks from sympathetic media outlets for finally being more honest about Brexit’s failures. But it's only been saying in the last fortnight what many of its natural supporters have wanted to hear for years.
