Suspected cannabis farm fire tackled by five fire engines

A SUSPECTED cannabis farm has been discovered at a terraced house in Sunderland where firefighters spent more than two hours putting out a blaze.

Emergency services were called to Roker Avenue at around 9pm on Thursday, with five fire engines involved in tackling the fire.
A video on social media showed a huge plume of smoke coming from a roof on the street. Northumbria
Police does not believe that the fire was started maliciously, but the force has launched an investigation into the discovery of the cannabis farm.
