Residents' plea for bus cuts rethink

CONTROVERSIAL bus service cuts that “fractured” a Newcastle community should be put under review, residents have pleaded.

Transport chiefs have been urged to look again at the changes that removed a popular service from a major city housing estate.

Since September last year, much of the Great Park estate has no longer been served by Go North East's Q3 bus - a move that sparked hundreds of complaints about a lack of evening or Sunday travel options and problems accessing shops, GP practices, and other local services in nearby Gosforth.
