Red sky at night, Wearside delight as Cats make it to Wembley
The Journal
|May 15, 2025
THIS is Sunderland. Words from Regis Le Bris that will resonate with every Sunderland supporter after their dramatic play off semi-final victory against Coventry.

The Black Cats never do it the easy way and Tuesday was that to a tee.
But who cares? The Wearsiders are now just one game away from the Premier League with Sheffield United waiting for them at Wembley later this month.
Le Bris named an unchanged side for the second leg at the Stadium of Light and who could blame him after the impressive defensive display at the CBS Arena.
The Sky Blues were the more threatening of the two sides and opened the scoring on the 76th minute through Ephron Mason-Clark.
