Protester fined for being drunk and disorderly

A MAN arrested during protests outside a hotel housing asylum seekers has been fined for being drunk and disorderly.
-
Protesters gathered outside the Newcastle city centre building in August as part of a demonstration against UK asylum policy.
Demonstrations were also held by counter-protesters sharing their message that refugees are welcome in the city.
