PR man sets fresh course with sale of floating office

ONE of the North East’s most unusual office spaces has been put up for sale.

Keith Newman launched Highlights PR around 16 years ago after spending 30 years in the gas industry and chose to stand out from the crowd by investing in an unconventional office.

He spent a significant portion of his pension on the 24ft-long Viking cabin cruiser, called Highlights, which has doubled as his office since 2014. The boat was based first at St Peter's Basin and then at Royal Quays in North Shields.

Now Mr Newman is selling the boat, which has played host to more than 300 people over the last 11 years, providing a creative and relaxed space for media interviews, client meetings, and content creation.
