Malia and his men will be giving everything to seal promotion

JARROW manager Kennie Malia believes his players have 'gone above and beyond' in their bid to secure what would be a historic promotion into the Northern League's top tier.

After spending almost the entirety of the season competing for the Division Two title with champions Horden CW and runners-up Yarm and Eaglescliffe, Malia's men had to settle for a play-off place and they made the most of their opportunity by claiming a dramatic semi-final win against Chester-le-Street United on Tuesday night.
After a goalless 90 minutes, Jarrow goalkeeper Jan Wells came to the fore with two penalty saves in the shoot-out before firing home the winning spot-kick just seconds later, much to the delight of over 670 in attendance at Perth Green.
