Keira can’t wait to start Cats stint

HAVING switched from Manchester United, Keira Barry has expressed her excitement after completing a loan move to Sunderland Women.

The striker links up with the Black Cats on loan until January, having developed through Manchester United's academy and, most recently, won the 2024 Barclays Women's Super League 2 title with Crystal Palace Women.

"I'm really excited and I can’t wait to get going," she told safc.com.

"It's really surprised me how inclusive everything is. It feels like one big team, and the facilities are really good, so I'm excited to use them."

Reflecting on Sunderland's interest, Barry immediately recognised the move as the ideal step for her development and ambitions.

She added: "They are an ambitious club that always puts the graft in, and I like that in a team, so when the call came, I was definitely interested straight away.
