Industrial action set to continue

ROPEMAKERS at a historic Wallsend company are continuing strike action over an ongoing pay dispute.
-
GMB Union has said that almost 100 members of staff at Bridon International in North Tyneside will stage fresh industrial action.
Workers will stage three 24-hour strikes, on September 18 and 30, and October 1, with the dispute centring around a 2.5% pay offer, a figure which the union says represents a real-terms pay cut amid rising living costs.
