April 16, 2025

THE future of a popular pair of Tyneside restaurants and a sister cocktail bar has been cast in doubt after they confirmed they have called in business advisors.

Horticulture on Pilgrim Street, its sister site at Whitley Bay and Newcastle cocktail bar El Guapo have both been closed since the weekend, with diners turning up for bookings only to find the doors closed.

Now, the director of the venues has confirmed the businesses are currently closed as they take advice on whether they can continue to operate.
