Festive TV special to show off local castle

A CASTLE’S festive transformation is set to be shown off on TV this month in a new Channel 4 documentary series.

Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland, which as previously reported has undergone a magical seasonal makeover, will feature in an episode of A Very British Christmas on December 16.

The festive special will focus upon the castle's annual Christmas Kingdom attraction whose new theme this year is Treasured Tales and it is open to the public until January.

It makes up a trail through the castle's state rooms with a series of individually-decorated scenes, created by Charlotte Lloyd-Webber Event Design and capturing details of much-loved classic tales and children's books.
