Fans' plea amid frustration over United tickets
The Journal
|September 13, 2025
THE Newcastle United Supporters' Trust has urged the club to listen to its fans amid frustration over the distribution of tickets.
This week the club cancelled multiple Champions League tickets for next Thursday's clash with Barcelona, as well as several season tickets after a school in Dundee was able to buy 45 tickets for the game, ahead of thousands of United supporters.
The High School of Dundee believed it had bought tickets from an approved provider, with pupils able to travel to the city and attend the match for a price of £295. But a Newcastle United spokesperson said that the club does not have any authorised resellers, and the only way to sell season ticket seats is through the club itself.
A total of 4,500 membership accounts are reportedly being watched due to suspicious activity, and 750 supporters are being monitored for potential touting and unauthorised selling.
