Dog sniffs out illicit tobacco

A SNIFFER dog has found thousands of pounds of illegal tobacco behind a secret wall in a shop in Newcastle.

Northumbria Police and Trading Standards officers were shocked to find the compartment in the cellar of the Heaton store.
The dog, named Griff, brought this to their attention, with his actions near the wall initially having everyone baffled, until an officer stumbled across a remote control and pressed it the heavy stone began to open up.
