DANCING QUEEN OTI MABUSE CHATS TO MARION MCMULLEN ABOUT HER TOUR AND HOW SHE'S EMBRACING HER NEW BODY AFTER HAVING HER DAUGHTER
-
Just generally taking care of myself, but dancing, dancing, dancing is the best way for me to get in shape.
I've also been teaching at my dance school and energising myself. There's also been pilates, yoga and some conditioning as well to get ready again.
I've still got all the muscles and I feel ready and in a good place.
(Laughs) I don't want to start dancing and feel after 20 seconds that I am begging for air.
How has your body changed after the birth of your baby daughter?
It is different in a good way. I feel stronger. My motivation is I'm doing this for my daughter.
She saw me dancing for the first time the other day and it was such a lovely experience. As a mom, it's given me a new determination. I'm embracing my body and fitness.
Before, I would wake up and before going to work I would go to the gym. Now I wake up, go on the nursery school run and then go to work ... and then find more energy before bedtime.
My body has changed completely and I'm embracing that.
You lifted the Glitterball twice on Strictly Come Dancing with Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey. What are your strongest memories of the BBC dance show?
I've so many memories of Strictly. Winning twice was an incredible feeling and something I was not expecting at all.
