DURHAM are aiming to “put on a show” for a packed home crowd tonight when they entertain Hampshire Hawks in the club's first major quarterfinal in nine years.

Ryan Campbell's men take on the Hawks in the last eight of the Vitality Blast, with more than 7,000 tickets sold for the Banks Homes Riverside clash (6.30pm).

“It's been a long time coming that's for sure,” said Campbell.

“I think we all know that we've made a conscious effort to improve our T20 and white-ball skills. Making the quarter final against Surrey last year was a starting point.

“As a collective group we wanted to bring a quarterfinal to the North East and share it with our people. The excitement has built steadily throughout the week and now it's all about getting out there and having fun. Come tomorrow, we'll be ready. Of course we will.”

Campbell has named a squad of 14 as Durham search for a place at Finals Day for the first time since 2016.
